The field of Air Conditioning has developed technologies which achieve the maximum energy saving in partial load conditions. The use of inverters combined with scroll and screw compressors also achieves the utmost efficiency while maintaining the same operating limits as traditional units.

This type of unit is suitable for Industrial, Data Center, HVAC applications where the unit needs to operate for long time when ambient temperature is “cold” below the EWT (Entering Water Temperature) (For instance if the ambient temperature is <12°C with Chilled water design 12/7°C). The more time the unit needs to operate at cold temperature the better is the payback time of the Free Cooling system.

Over the years, Blue Box has acquired considerable expertise in manufacturing freecooling chillers, units which exploit the low temperatures of outdoor air to the full, producing cold water without using compressors.

Our freecooling unit catalogue boasts of a range from 40 up to 1,200 kW. Our freecooling chillers make use of advanced software for full freecooling even in mild seasons, integrating the rare cooling demand by using compressors.
This considerably increases energy saving guaranteeing a drastically quick payback of the investment.

Separate Mechanical & Free cooling modules:
Blue Box FC units have two dedicated sections (Chiller section & Free Cooling Section) that have their own fans and coils functioning independently, to ensure the capacity requirement is fulfilled with the optimium level of partial and full free cooling minimizing the energy consumption.
