Swegon Group has announced a leadership transition as Andreas Örje Wellstam, the company’s current Chief Executive Officer, steps into the role of Chief Investment Officer at Investment AB Latour, Swegon’s owner. The move will take effect on February 1st, 2026, with Eva Karlsson appointed as interim CEO.
Karlsson currently serves as Vice President for the Business Area Air Handling, Cooling & Heating and has been part of Swegon since 2022. Her professional background spans senior positions in manufacturing, product management, and business development. She has also previously served on the Board of Assa Abloy, a company within Latour’s investment portfolio.
“Eva has played a crucial role in Swegon’s strong development in recent years,” said Johan Menckel, Chairman of the Swegon Group Board of Directors. “With her broad experience and deep understanding of the business, the Board and I have full confidence in her ability to successfully lead the company during this interim period.”
Örje Wellstam, who joined the Latour group in 2010, moved to Swegon in 2012 and has held five different leadership roles before becoming CEO in 2020. Under his leadership, the company has nearly doubled in size while redefining its corporate strategy.
“During Andreas’ tenure, Swegon has established itself as a true leader in the European indoor climate industry,” Menckel added. “We are grateful for his outstanding contribution and leadership.”
