43 new production operators have joined Swegon Operations S.r.l. in Cantarana di Cona (Venice, Italy) on permanent contracts. Many come from professional backgrounds far from the HVAC industry and have embarked on a training and reskilling journey to develop new technical competencies.

From hospitality and seasonal work to previous roles in completely different industries, the new colleagues have joined Swegon with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

Through the Swegon Job Academies, new technical skills were built from the ground up, opening the way to qualified roles within production, including welders and electrical technicians.

It is a journey that puts people and their potential at the centre: investing in people means creating opportunities to learn, develop new skills and grow professionally, while building the competencies needed to support future growth.

The development of the Swegon site in Cantarana di Cona (Swegon’s Cooling & Heating division, specialising in commercial and industrial chillers and heat pumps), also brings new professional opportunities to the local community, supported by an approach that combines employment with technical training and competence development.

And the journey continues, with new Academies already underway and further recruitment planned for 2027.
